I believe that inspiration for great design can literally be found anywhere whether it be from a favorite comfy, warm sweater or last night’s mesmerizing sunset. Interior designs, artwork, and even architecture is so much more meaningful when you find that special thing that fills you with inspiration. My inspiration today was these beautiful hydrangea’s. The leaves have a fluffy, quilted texture with sharp serrated edges that adds a great geometrical interest. Then the gorgeous flowers with all their brilliant, yet soft colors that blend effortlessly together. Whites, pinks, purples, blues, and yellows contrast magnificently against the dark green of leaves. What could you do with this inspiration?
Jennifer Reid of Barlow Reid Design in Toronto, Ontario created a beautiful space that truly could have been inspired by my little hydrangea found today. Elegantly contemporary and simply light and airy. This space is one where memorable conversations will happen, relaxing dreams can happen during a relaxing nap, and a novel can be enjoyed with a glass of wine and it could have all come to fruition after passing by the beautiful blossoms. What blooms are you inspired by?
